I’m finally legitimate.

After years of slumming it at alisonwilder.net, this website is now living in its permanent home: alisonwilder.com.

It probably says something about my age that I think a .com is the most legitimate TLD1, but that’s okay. (For the record, I am 43 years old.)

I think I like .coms at this point because they reduce cognitive load. If I tell someone to go to my website and they know my name, they’re very likely think about alisonwilder.com first. And we all have enough to think about without trying to remember 8 billion TLDs, right?

  1. Top level domain, e.g. .com, .net, and .org. Now with .ninja, .unicorn, and .pizza 🙄 ↊ī¸Ž
